Murray Charteris – Drawing Trees

Drawing trees can be a challenging subject for beginners. Mostly it is due to our preconceptions from childhood about how trees should be drawn. This course will break those preconceptions and show you what to look for and how to draw the shapes, detail and texture of trees.

 

 

We’ll explore the various shapes of different types of trees as well as illustrate how “not” to draw them. I’ll show you the most common mistakes that people make and how to correct them.

Then we’ll explore different ways to create a range of trunk textures to really give your trees a sense of realism and life.
