A 3-step process for preventing anxiety
Course Description:
This course outlines a three step approach to reducing unnecessary anxiety.
Life can be stressful and there will always be some unavoidable sources of anxiety. However, it is usually possible to reduce a significant amount of anxiety so as to focus energies on overcoming the unavoidable challenges that real life throws at us every day. This mini course will help you to identify behaviour that indicates anxiety, narrow down the cause, and find practical steps to reduce it.
This course consists of four online lectures (PDF and video) which you can access anytime, plus a bonus section working through practical examples.
- What is Anxiety?
- Step 1: Notice Anxious Behaviour
- Step 2: Identify Anxiety Triggers
- Step 3: Reduce Stress and Increase Safety
- Bonus: Practical Worked Examples
“How many times have I unsuccessfully tried to help my son and just made matters worse? Now, by recognizing the cause of the distress and understanding his coping mechanisms, I can actually help and make things better for him! If my son would have known that I just had to watch your videos to understand him, he would’ve made me watch you years ago! Your course is a positive game changer.”
–Maryse St-Onge, French Canadian mother of two boys
“My young son is newly diagnosed with ASD and anxiety has always been something he has trouble with. The information given by Paul was informative and made sense. It was explained in simple to understand terms with examples that were relevant. The information and strategies given are workable and simple, I love how an actual step by step process was given that I can now go and use with my son. The fact it was delivered in a conversational manor made it more accessible and less daunting. Thank you Paul.”
